Two weeks have passed and I am back from hollidays on Phuket, Thailand. This is my first trip to Thailand, and actually my first to Asia. I was feeling a little bit anxious about going on a trip on my own, but I think I did well. My goal was to enjoy life and come home relaxed, and I did to my fullest.
After adjusting for a few days to the new impressions and the environment I really felt that I had come to paradise. I know that Phuket is not supposed to be "real Thailand", but for me it was great. The hospitality of the thai people are just unbelievable, and I really needed this as I would find it difficult to find friends - most foreigners were either pensioners or families.
My first week get to experience what the island had to offer: bathing, great food, cheap prices (suites), diving, muay thai, thai massage (every day), spectacular views. I am glad that the optitions were so diverse while the weather was unnormally disappointing.
My second week I met Andy from Canada and Ivo from Switzerland at the bungalows and suddenly everything was much easier. We went to see Patong by night, went shopping and body surfed at the beach.
When my hollidays was coming to an end I felt a little sad that it was all over - I got to know the staff at Friendship Bungalows and Lucky Massage pretty well and the goodbys made me feel like wanting to come back.
